id3v2 software package provides A command line id3v2 tag editor, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install id3v2
id3v2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the id3v2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep id3v2 *
You will get with id3v2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
